If you haven’t seen the series “When you see us” on Netflix you need to do so. There are many life lessons embedded in the true-life story which aligns with our series on the 6 things you can’t do without in Life (IDENTITY, FAITH-HOPE-DESTINY, LIFE & LIVING, RELATIONSHIP & LOVE, TIME, TIMING & TIMELINESS AND MONEY).

5 young boys with dreams and a promising future were labelled “The Central Park Five” (IDENTITY changed to RAPISTS) and spent between 6 to 14 years in prison because they were framed, set up and wrongfully convicted of raping and assaulting a lady jogger in 1989.

In 2002, by a stroke of Divinity, Favour, Mercy and Grace (DESTINY) the case was reopened when the real rapist confessed to this crime after he gave his life to Christ in prison as he was serving a life sentence for another crime.

The story gets better. In 2014, a federal judge awarded the 5 boys who had now grown into men the sum of $41 million, the largest settlement in the history of the state of New York.

You have to hold on to Faith and Hope because it’s not over until it’s over. Your Faith and Hope attracts your true Destiny. You can’t give up no matter what you’re going through now, life is only for the living and living is only for the HOPE-FUL and FAITH-FUL.

Understand that Time and Chance happens to ALL and there is a TIME for everything under the sun. For these 5 boys, after all that they had gone through, the time for their exoneration FINALLY came.

Your own appointed time will also surely come, but you need to keep living your life in faith and hope because your destiny needs it. TIME, TIMING and TIMELINESS are keys to a successful life; and living a fulfilled and satisfied life.

P.S: Congratulations to the cast and crew of WTSU on their 16 Emmy Nominations announced yesterday, Wednesday.
