Day 5 – 5th September, 2017
Principle 5 – The Law of Branding
Your Brand is the key to your perceived and real value. Be aware that perception is stronger than reality. You have to:
Build your brand around your purpose
Build your brand around your promise of value
Build your brand around the solution you were created to be
Build your brand around the problem you were born to solve

Your Brand is your reputation equity. Your brand is how people really see you, it is what people say about you when you are not there. So :
What is your name?
What is your brand?
What solution are you?
What problem do you solve?
What is your promise of value?
What is people’s perception of you?
What do people say about you?
Who do people say you are?
Water quenches thirst – But pure water (in sachets ) and table water (in bottles) are sold at different prices because of their brand perceptions. Note that they both quench thirst and may be same quantity.  Which of these two would you rather have at a fancy party on each guest’s table?
The question now is? Are your pure water or  table water? Which would you rather be? And guess what? It doesn’t hurt to be pure water too, just know the problem you were created to solve and the people who need the solutions you provide. Whatever solution you decide to provide, whatever you decide to be, be a good one!
Warren Buffett says “It takes 20 years to build a good name and 5 minutes of emotional recklessness to destroy it; If you think about this you will act differently”
The Bible says:
“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver and Gold” – Proverbs 22:1
“ A good name is better than fine perfume…”- Ecclesiastes 7:1
